- On-Load Tap Changer (OLTC): This mechanism allows the transformer to change voltage ratios while under load, ensuring stable voltage supply during fluctuations.
- Off-Circuit Tap Changer (OCTC / Off-Load Tap Changer): This mechanism allows voltage adjustments when the transformer is de-energized or not under load, crucial for setting the correct voltage for various load conditions.
- Buchholz Relay: An essential safety device, it detects internal faults such as short circuits, insulation failures, or excessive oil heating, automatically issuing an alarm or tripping the transformer.
- Expansion Valve: As oil temperature rises, its volume expands. The expansion valve safely releases this excess pressure, preventing structural damage to the transformer.

- Oil Temperature Indicator (OTI) & Winding Temperature Indicator (WTI): These indicators continuously monitor the oil and winding temperatures of the transformer. They provide alerts if temperatures exceed safe limits, protecting against overloading or overheating.
